Even though RB was giving me stink eye over IM, I went back to bikram class. And it was ok. Wasn’t great, I was still dizzy once in a while. But much better than Tuesday. I was actually smiling when we got to rabbit pose, because that’s where it all fell apart yesterday.

I am thisclose to grabbing my leg in standing head to knee pose. THISCLOSE.

I was so excited for Day 10, and it imploded.

I woke up feeling dizzy, and continued to feel dizzy throughout the day. By the time I reached bikram yoga class I was very worried that I wouldn’t make it through class. I spoke to the teacher, and he encouraged me to give class a try and stay in the class the entire time.

As soon as I folded in half to touch my head to my knee, I fell out of the pose and had to reach for the floor to steady myself. The rest of the standing series was a real struggle but I made it through with a few modifications.

After full locust, I lost all ability to participate. Half tortoise pose almost finished me. In addition to the dizzies, I started feeling nauseous. I spent the rest of the class on my back, trying to cool down, and struggling not to cry.

I was and am upset that my personal challenge may be interrupted by something completely out of my control. Am hoping that I can continue going to class, and struggling to be ok with all possible outcomes.

Our regular teacher took class with us today, right next to me. It was neat to catch a glimpse of a well-executed pose every once in a while. I did try to focus on my own image in the mirror.

Tomorrow is day 10, which is a third of the way through. I must admit, I am getting worn out.

Second, no more eating a significant meal before bikram. Rolling into rabbit or stretching into cobra really took effort with a full belly.

Third, I think I may have hurt my right inner thigh. I am taking it slow with triangle, just in case.

Fourth, I am so close to conquering camel! I usually sit it out altogether, but have been making myself try it for about 15 seconds, and today I made real progress!
